Capabilities / Internal systems

Custom internal software.Built around you.

Your team will be the first to tell you when the systems are broken. Give them the right tools, so they spend less time inputting data and more time doing something meaningful.

Show us how it works now.Including the messy bits.

Nobody can describe their own operation accurately, because the workarounds stopped being visible years ago. So we come and watch it instead.

  1. We turn up

Half a day on site beats a month of requirements documents. We want the spreadsheet, the whiteboard and the bit somebody does from memory every Friday.

  2. We map what actually happens

Not the process diagram from 2019. The real one, workarounds included, because that is usually where the value has been hiding.

  3. We build for the people using it

The person on the yard has forty seconds and cold hands. Software that only works at a desk is software that gets filled in later, badly, from memory.

What we build here

Three things, usually together.

Most jobs start as one of these and grow into the next. Which one you need first is normally obvious once we have seen the operation.

CRMs and revenue operations

Leads, quotes, accounts and follow-up in one place, with a pipeline shaped the way you actually sell rather than the way a product assumes you do.

ERPs and operational data

The operational spine: jobs, stock, scheduling, purchasing and the numbers underneath them. One version of what is happening, instead of three systems disagreeing about it.

HR systems and people management

Who works where, holiday, rotas, certifications and the paperwork that follows them around. Usually the last thing to leave a spreadsheet, and the one that hurts most when it does.

Built to be built on.Not something you outgrow.

A system you own stops being a tool the business uses and starts being part of how it works. That is the point where things compound: the operation tightens, less leaks out of the edges, and the people you pay for skilled work stop losing their afternoons to keying things in.

Four things make that true rather than aspirational:

Your process, digitised

Not a product's idea of how you ought to work. The way you already do it, minus the paper, the re-keying and the three places the same number is written down.

Control and access

People can do exactly what their role needs and nothing beyond it, so work goes where it should the first time and less leaks out of the edges. Set by role rather than by asking us.

Security as standard

Encrypted where it matters, dependencies kept current, and access reviewed rather than assumed. The bar is what your own clients would expect of you.

An audit trail

Who changed what, and when. Not because anybody is being watched, but because the first question after something goes wrong is always the same one.

How it works

Co-created with you.

A typical build looks like:

One call

Tell us what is happening. Twenty minutes is usually enough for us to know whether we are the right people for it, and you will hear either answer.

A week on site

Wayfinder. We watch the operation, then write down what we think should be built and what it is worth. You own that document whether or not you build it with us.

In stages

The first useful piece is live in weeks, not at the end. You use it, tell us where it is wrong, and the next piece is better for it.

When you are ready

Tell us what is on fire.

Describe the bit that keeps going wrong. We will say what we think is going on underneath it, whether or not there is a job in it for us.

What are you after? (optional)

We use this to reply to you, and keep it for up to two years. More in our privacy policy.

Technologies

No house framework. No licence with your name on it.

We are not a reseller and nobody pays us to recommend anything, so the choice follows your operation rather than a partner agreement. If the right answer is a product you can buy off the shelf, that is what you will be told.

Where it lives

Your data, somewhere you would be happy to say out loud.

Operational data is not the same as a marketing site. Where it sits, who can reach it and how quickly it comes back are decisions we make with you rather than for you.

Krystal

UK based and run on renewable energy. The default when the data should not leave the country and somebody will eventually ask where it is.

AWS

When there is real scale, a compliance regime, or a recovery requirement measured in minutes rather than in hours.

Vercel

For the parts your customers touch. The front of a system can sit at the edge even when the system behind it does not.

Before you ask

The questions we always get asked.

We already have software that half works. Do we have to start again?

Usually not. Plenty of jobs are one missing piece and two things that were never connected, and replacing the lot would be the expensive answer to a cheap problem. If it does need replacing we will say so, and say why.

How long before we see anything?

Weeks, not at the end. Building the whole thing in private and revealing it is how projects like this go wrong - you cannot tell us it is wrong until you have used it, and by then it has been wrong for six months.

Will our team actually use it?

That is decided by whether it is quicker than what they do now, which is why we watch the current way first. Software that adds a step gets worked around, and the workaround becomes the real process.

Can it talk to our accounts package?

Almost always. Xero, Sage, QuickBooks and most of the industry systems have a way in. Where one genuinely does not, we will tell you before you commit rather than after.

What happens when the person who understands it leaves?

The same thing that happens now, unless it is written down - so it is written down. Documentation is part of the build rather than a line item you can decline.

Is this AI?

Where it earns its place. Sorting, summarising, catching the entry that does not look like the others - those are worth having. A chatbot bolted to the front of a system nobody wanted to use is not, and we would rather say so than sell it.

No pitch, no deck

Tell us what isactually happening.

Describe the mess in your own words. We will say what we think is going on underneath it, and whether there is anything we could usefully do about it.
