Terms of use

The terms on which you may use this website, what you may do with what is on it, what happens to anything you send us, and the limits of what we are responsible for.

Last updated 9 August 2026

The short version

  • Everything on this site is ours. Read it, download it and print it for yourself, freely.
  • Do not copy or reuse it commercially, scrape it, or try to break it.
  • Anything you send us through a form stays yours, but sending it does not make it confidential.
  • Work we do for clients is covered by a separate written agreement, not by this page.

A plain-English gloss, not a substitute for the terms below. Where the two differ, the terms are what count.

01Introduction

Welcome to the Unovo Limited website (unovo.io). By accessing or using this website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use our site.

This website is operated by Unovo Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16375453, at Steel City Stadium, Olympic Legacy Park, Worksop Rd, Sheffield, S9 3TL. Our full contact details are at the foot of this page.

These terms cover your use of this website and nothing else. Work we carry out for clients is governed by the separate written agreement made for that engagement, which deals with scope, fees, timescales and who owns what is produced. Where the two ever appear to conflict, that agreement is what applies to the work.

How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy policy, and what we store on your device in our cookie policy.

02Intellectual property

  • All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, videos, code, and design, is the property of Unovo Limited or its licensors.
  • You may view, download, and print content for personal use only.
  • You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or adapt our content for commercial purposes without prior written consent.
  • Client names, logos and trade marks shown in our case studies belong to those clients and appear with their permission. Nothing here gives you any right to use them.

You may link to any page on this site, provided you do so fairly and without suggesting an association or endorsement that does not exist. Please do not frame our pages inside your own.

03Acceptable use

You agree not to use this website:

  • For any unlawful purpose or in breach of applicable UK law.
  • To copy, reproduce, or exploit our intellectual property without permission.
  • To introduce any virus, trojan, worm or other malicious or technologically harmful material.
  • To gain or attempt to gain unauthorised access to this website, the server it sits on, or any connected system. Doing so is an offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990 and we would report it.
  • To scrape, harvest or extract content by automated means, other than ordinary indexing by a search engine.
  • To submit anything through our forms that is unlawful, misleading, abusive, or not yours to send.
  • To attack the site by means of a denial-of-service attack, or to place a deliberate load on it that affects other visitors.

04What you send us

This site has forms that let you send us a message. What you write in them stays yours, and we do not claim any ownership of it.

Two things follow from sending it:

  • You confirm that what you send is yours to send, that it is accurate as far as you know, and that sending it does not breach anybody else's rights or an obligation you owe to somebody else.
  • Sending us an unsolicited message does not create a confidential relationship, and we cannot treat an idea described in one as confidential. If you want to tell us something in confidence before we have an agreement in place, say so first and we will put one in place.

We use what you send to reply to you and to run our business, and we do not sell it or pass it to anyone for their own marketing. What we do with the personal data inside it, on what basis and for how long, is in our privacy policy.

05Disclaimer

  • The content on our website is provided for general information purposes only. While we make reasonable efforts to keep it up to date, we do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or reliability.
  • Nothing on this website is professional, technical or legal advice for your particular situation, and it should not be relied on as a substitute for it. If you want advice on your circumstances, ask us and we will give it properly.
  • We accept no liability for loss or damage arising from reliance on information provided on this website.

06Availability of the site

We do not guarantee that this website will be available uninterrupted or free of errors. We may change, suspend or withdraw all or part of it without notice, and we will not be liable to you if it is unavailable at any time or for any period.

You are responsible for arranging your own access to the site, and for making sure that anybody accessing it through your connection knows these terms and follows them.

08Limitation of liability

  • We provide this website free of charge, and to the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude any liability for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of goodwill, or loss or corruption of data arising from the use of or inability to use it.
  • Where we are liable to you for direct loss arising from your use of this website, our total liability is limited to £1,000.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
  • If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of the country in which you live.

09Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the site indicates acceptance of the updated terms.

The date at the top of this page is when the wording last changed, so you can tell at a glance whether anything has moved since you last read it.

10General

  • If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
  • If we do not insist that you do something you are required to do under these Terms, or delay in doing so, that does not mean we have given up the right to require it later.
  • We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation, for example if the business is sold. You may not transfer yours without our written consent.
  • These Terms are between you and us. Nobody else has any right to enforce them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

11Governing law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, subject to the position for consumers set out above.
